Board of Directors
Saleh Abdullah Ali Almunajem
Saleh is the Chairman of the Board and General Manager of Almunajem Foods Company. Saleh started his career at Almunajem Foods as Director of the Ateeqa Cold Store branch from 1978 to 1985. After which he assumed the role of Sales and Marketing Director from 1986 to 1990 . He then led the company's procurement and sales division till 2006 prior to becoming General Manager in 2007. Saleh has a diploma from Al-Nasr School in Riyadh and currently sits on the Boards of Abdullah Ali Almunajem Sons Company and Al-Kafaa Real Estate Company. Saleh had previously served as a member on the boards of numerous entities including the Agriculture and Food Security Committee at the Council of Saudi Chambers and the Riyadh Chamber on a three-year term from 2017 to 2020, the Saudi-Moroccan Business Council in 2013, the Saudi-Indian Business Council from 2010 to 2013. He was also Chairman of the Saudi-Spanish Business Council from 2005 to 2008.
Suliman Abdulrahman Abdullah Al-Guwaiz
Vice Chairman - Independent
Suliman was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Board of Almunajem Foods Company in 2021. Suliman was the Governor of the Saudi General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) from 2013 till his retirement in 2021. Throughout his 40-year career, he held multiple roles with notable financial institutions in the Kingdom including Riyad Bank where he served as Regional Director for the Central Region, Director of Corporate and Personal Banking and as Assistant CEO from 2002 to 2013. He joined Riyad Bank from the Saudi National Bank (formerly, Samba Financial Group) where he served as Director across multiple business units including treasury, operations, and business services before he became Director of the Central Region Corporate Banking in 1989. Suliman has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Portland State University in the United States of America. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily), Vice Chairman of the Boards of both the Saudi Industrial Investment Group and Future Business Company and a member of the Board of the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden).
Fahad Abdulmohsen Abdulrahman AlFadley
Executive Managing Director
Fahad was appointed as an executive member of the Board of Almunajem Foods Company in 2021. He is the current CEO of Abdullah Ali Almunajem Sons Company- the majority shareholder of Almunajem Foods Company. Prior to assuming his current role, Fahad was the CEO of Almunajem Foods from 2013 to 2017. He started his career in 1995 at SABIC where he took on multiple roles in market research, sales, logistics and operations before becoming General Manager of Commercial Affairs at Yamamah Cement Company in 2008 where he served for 5 years. He holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University and is the Chairman of the Board of France Poultry, a poultry production company established in France.
Non-executive Director – Independent
Hasan has been the CEO of the Saudi Economic and Development Company (SEDCO Holding) since 2018. Prior to this role, he was CEO of SEDCO Capital from 2010 to 2018. He joined SEDCO Capital from SNB Capital (formerly NCB Capital) where he was Head of Corporate Banking for 6 years from 2001 before becoming Head of Investment Banking in 2007. Hasan joined SNB Capital from Dar Al-Maal Al-Islami, a financial institution established in Switzerland where he was Executive Vice President. Hasan started his career with SNB (formerly, Samba Financial Group) as President of the Western Region Corporate Banking Group and Senior Manager of Credit Services. He has held several board memberships at various institutions including SNB Capital (formerly, NCB Capital), Saudi Airlines Catering where he was also Chairman of the Audit Committee, Roots Arabia Company, SEDCO Capital, Ahmed Mohamed Saleh Baeshen & Partners Company and most recently as Chairman for both SEDCO Capital Global Funds for Investments and SEDCO Capital Luxembourg for Financial Investments from 2012 to 2018. Hasan holds a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon.
Abdullah Omar Abdullah Bawazir
Abdullah is the CFO of Abdullah Ali Almunajem Sons Company since 2018. He was previously CFO of Almunajem Foods Company from 2010 to 2013. He joined Almunajem Foods from Gulf Catering Food Company where he was Finance Manager for 7 years from 2002. Abdullah started his career with Ernst & Young and Partners (Chartered Accountants) in 1992 and took on roles of varying seniority within the firms' audit practice. Abdullah holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from King Saud University and is a member of the Board of Directors of France Poultry.
Mohammad Ibrahim AlRowette
Mohammad was appointed as a Non-executive Director of the Board of Almunajem Foods in 2021. He is the current CEO of Four Steps International, a market and business development consultancy in KSA. Throughout his career, he held various roles in marketing as Executive Vice President of Marketing at the Saudi Marketing Research Group, General Manager of Marketing at L’azurde Group, Marketing Director at Coca-Cola International Beverages Company and Assistant General Manager of Marketing at Savola Group. He founded the Marketing Consulting Association where he is currently a member of the Board of Directors. Mohammad has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He is also a member of the Advisory Board at Manfaa Company and a Board member at Dr. Muhammad Al-Faqih & Partners Company. He was previously Vice President of the Marketing Committee in the Riyadh Chamber.
Eng. Thamer bin Abdulaziz Abanumay
Chief Executive Officer
Thamer was appointed as CEO of Almunajem Foods in August 2017. He has over 25 years of experience. Prior to AMF, Thamer was an Executive Manager at Almarai. He held various positions with notable Saudi institutions including Al Rajhi Industrial Group where he was an Executive Vice President from 2014 to 2016, and SABIC where he started and built his career across various business divisions including sales and global business in the polymers and functional chemicals sectors'. He was previously a member of the Board and the marketing committee of the Board for the Saudi Petrochemical Company (Sadaf). Thamer holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from King Saud University.
Assim Mohammed Al Attas
Chief Financial Officer
Assim was appointed as CFO of Almunajem Foods in 2013. He joined AMF from General Electric Company where he was Global Corporate Auditor and Financial Planning and Analysis Manager from 2010 to 2013. Assim started his career at Ernst & Young & Co. (Chartered Accountants) as an auditor before becoming Assistant Manager in the Transaction Advisory Services practice. He is a recipient of the “Compliance Hero” award from the Vice President and Global CFO, Oil and Gas at General Electric Company and the “Above & Beyond” bronze award from the CFO for the Middle East and Africa region, Power Generation Services – Repairs sector at General Electric Company. Assim holds an MBA from HEC Paris and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Al-Ahqaff University in Yemen.
Mohammed Ali Almunajem
Support Services Director
Mohammed Ali Almunajem was appointed as Support Services Director in 2010. He started his career in 1986, as an AMF branch manager prior to becoming Deputy Director at Buraidah Foods Company in 1989. Mohammed had been an AMF branch manager for over 10 years when he was appointed Director of Administrative Affairs and Human Resources in 2004. Mohammed has a diploma from Al Yamamah High School in Riyadh.
Mazen El Danab
Mazen has over 20 years of experience with Almunajem Foods having started his career with the company as Assistant Director of Sales in 1998 before becoming Director of Direct Distribution and then finally Sales Manager of Direct Distribution, Wholesale and Food Services in 2012. Mazen holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s in Business Accounting from the Lebanese American University in Lebanon.
Mustapha Mohsen Fawaz
Mustapha joined Almunajem Foods in 2009 as Sales Manager of the Supermarkets Department. He then became Sales Director for the Supermarkets and Direct Distribution divisions in 2013 prior to his appointment as Sales Director. He joined AMF from Alex GB, an F&B company in Egypt, where he was Sales Manager. Prior to his time with Alex GB, Mustapha held several positions with Poseidon SAR, a food and fresh foods company in Lebanon, and Bank Audi, a private banking company in Lebanon. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon.
Ali Fayez Khreis
Supply Chain & Logistics Director
Ali had been with Almunajem Foods for over 5 years when he became Supply Chain & Logistics Director in 2014. He started off as a systems analyst before becoming Deputy Director and eventually Director of Warehouse Operations in 2013. Ali joined Almunajem Foods after a brief stint with the Intercontinental Phoenicia Hotel and has a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Lebanese International University in Lebanon.
Majed Mohammed Al Bakheet
Human Resources Director
Majed joined Almunajem Foods as Director of Human Resources Operations in 2014 from Aljomaih Beverage Company where he had taken on various roles in Human Resources since 2007. He started his career in 2013 at the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center where he was responsible for International Recruitment. Majed has an Executive MBA in International Leadership and Management from Al Yamamah University and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University.
Chief Information Officer
Rabih has over 35 years of experience in computing and information systems. Rabih joined Almunajem Foods in 2007 from Elissar Technologies, a Canadian IT services and consulting company, where he was Executive Management Advisor. Prior to Elissar, Rabih had taken on various roles with Canadian firms including, the Westrock Company (formerly, MeadWestvaco Corporation) where he was Director of Information Systems for North America, Twinpack Inc. where he was Director of Technical Business Services, and General Electric Appliances Company where he was Director of the Computing Services Team, among others. Rabih holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Eastern New Mexico University in the United States of America.
Quality Management Director
Mohamed has around 20 years of experience with Almunajem Foods starting off as a Quality Controller for the Central Region in 2002 before becoming Head of the Quality team in 2004 and subsequently Quality Management Director in 2011. Mohamed started his career in Egypt with Delta Food Factory, a food and sweets company, before assuming the role of Production Engineer at Al Orouba Factory (Basma) for frozen products, a frozen vegetables and fruits company. Mohamed has a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences from Ain Shams University in Egypt.
Internal Audit Department Director
Mazen joined Almunajem Foods in 2016 after 8 years with Ernst & Young as a Principal in the Consulting Services practice. He joined Ernst & Young from RSM Richter Company, a Canadian audit and consulting company, where he had been for 2 years. Mazen started his career in 1996 with the Beirut Riyad Bank in Lebanon where he took on various roles in corporate credit. He has a bachelor's degree in Commerce from Beirut Arab University in Lebanon and is a Certified Global Management Accountant, a Certified Fraud Detection Specialist, Internal Auditor and Public Accountant.
